Stringari is typical of Nanno in Trentino, Stringaro has a small strain in Udinese and one in Trani (BA) and in the Bari and in Cerignola in the Foggiano, should derive from the name of the profession of the ancestor, which were probably stringary magistri i.e. they produced Strings for robes, shoes and armours, traces of these cognitive-ominizations are found in Trento in 1505: "... Dominus Franciscus a Sale, Dominus Contes a vaguinis, magister Nicolaus aurifaber, Ser Iohannes Chileta notarius, et magister Magnus Stringarius, Honorabiles cives Tridenti, Tamquam consules, et provisores magnificae communitatis Tridenti... ".
